The Office of a Bishop
D E C L A R A T I O N
Hereby the Board of Mission For Jesus-International has received divine order, after seeking the Holy Scriptures, the counsel of the Brotherhood of the MFJ International Covenant-Partners and spiritual Leaders from the worldwide body of Christ and final prayers, to institute the biblical term and office of the Overseer of Churches and Clergies, as in the office and ministry of the Bishop.
We do not reinforce the office of the Bishop for matters of personal glorification and adoration, but to give the office and calling of such chosen and elected person the proper meaning. The office and ministry of a Bishop in the MFJI is hereby established to give the Body of Christ, churches, clergies, believers and officials a solid and fundamental understanding of this apostolic and spiritual office. It ministers only for the glorification and promotion of God the almighty and his kingdom.
The Overseer of the churches and clergies, which is the Bishop, has to be approved by testimony of his ministry and the acceptance of those that he oversees, the Board of MFJI and the Overseeing Bishop, who oversees other Bishops, churches and clergies.
The institution of the office and ministry of a National Director of MFJI, will or can change to the institution through the ceremonial ordination of a Bishop, if such person oversees churches and clergies that are under his divine authority. If this is not the case, such person will continue to be instituted as National Director.
Because of the office and ministry of the President of MFJI, we follow this divine order and we recognize and institute such office and ministry finally as of the Overseeing Bishop of MFJI.
After the first call and establishment of the office for each Bishop, through the divine appointment and ceremonial ordination through the Board and the Overseeing Bishop of MFJI, we recommend that the National Bishop should receive his native support and recognition in a 5 year term through election. This election must be finally approved through the Board and the Overseeing Bishop of MFJI. If the Bishop will not be elected again for the next legislature and he still lives a holy conducted life, his ordination as a Bishop will remain as of a Bishop of support.
If the National Board of MFJI determines that a National Director/Bishop of MFJI has lost his divine calling and brings reproach to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it has the authority to address, restore or remove such person from its office. As it is said before, such action needs the confirmation of the International Board and the Overseeing Bishop.
